    There is a place for rear mount turbos.
    Thats on cars that that is the ONLY place it will fit.

    Next to engine and up high is better for many reasons.

    Turbo likes to be hot
    Exhaust gasses going thru turbo like to be hot
    Closer the turbo to engine the better
    Gravity feed oil drain from turbo, no pump to go out, or blown seals.


    If you're going to be off roading the LAST place I would want my turbo is under the car.


    rear low mount turbos have everything you'd want in a good turbo design
    going against them.
