here's a good place to find the cam Scoggin Dickey Parts Center: GM Performance Parts, GM Crate Engines, GM Goodwrench Crate Motors and Performance Crate Engines

and yes the comp 7.4 pushrods are the stock length replacement ones
Hey I just got my LS6 cam from there...weird.
Also if you're looking for springs and pushrods www.texas-speed.com has a PRC dual spring and chromoly pushrod set for a good price. That's what I am going to end up going with. The springs are good to .660 lift so more than enough for the LS6 cam, and that way if you did decide to get a custom grind with more duration and lift you would be covered.

What psi are you wanting to run with this thing? Also how much power are you looking for?

Im thinking around 7-9 psi...haha... so lets say 8psi !!! I would like to see 420+ HP at the wheels. rom what ive read it looks like i might get close to 500 rwhp! but 420+ is pretty good IMO. I'm not trying to get to crazy as it is important I can run the motor 200 miles in the desert and still get it home!

I really appreciate the info here guys. this is sooo exactly what I was hoping for!

I'm a huge fan of the rear mount turbos man but it's really not the most logical thing for you being a desert runner. You could get a lot of power and more reliability for the desert out of a front mount. I would say go with a 70mm that way when you out grow 420 rwhp you just have to turn up the boost.
