The LS6 cam is a good boost friendly cam, especially if you are on a budget. You can pick them up regularly for around $125. If you want something more suited for your exact application, you can get a custom grind. They are around $500 though. IMO, the LS6 has been proven to produce good numbers with boost.

As far as pushrods, the 7.4's will work but I believe that you should use 7.425's. The base circle on the LS6 cam is slightly smaller but since our trucks have hydraulic lifters, it is supposed to make up the difference. I've read people have run both lengths and been fine.

You will need to measure for pushrod when using LS6 cam.
The 02' and up does have a smaller base circle.

Cant use off the shelf 7.4's

I would not use the STS turbo kit either.

Hey I just got my LS6 cam from there...weird.
Also if you're looking for springs and pushrods www.texas-speed.com has a PRC dual spring and chromoly pushrod set for a good price. That's what I am going to end up going with. The springs are good to .660 lift so more than enough for the LS6 cam, and that way if you did decide to get a custom grind with more duration and lift you would be covered.

What psi are you wanting to run with this thing? Also how much power are you looking for?
