    Exclamation Running Rich Again...

So.. I finally went to get some O2 sensors. I got two bosch's. Installed them, and nothing has changed. My truck is still throwing codes P0172 (Fuel System Rich Bank 1) and P0175 (Fuel System Rich Bank 2). So bad oxygen sensors are not the problem anymore. I ran a vacuum leak tester over all of my vacuum hoses (I think) but it picked up nothing. The only thing it beeped on or around was my intake manifold, but if the gasket around it was leaking, wouldn't that mean i would be sucking in unmonitored air, and causing my truck to run lean, not rich? Oh and one more thing, could it be because i have an exhaust leak around the flange that connects the header to the exhaust pipe? It's just on one side though.. Anybody who can help, it would be appreciated. I have to get it running right before i start deeply modifying it. Thanks.

Maybe the intake leak is causing it to go rich by teling the computer its running lean by sucking air.I had the famous intake leak and didnt even know it till i changed it,i was throwing a code but i dont remember wich 1 it was.I wanna say 131.just change it if you think its leaking cause its a famous issue with these things. its easy you can do it by not even taking the complete intake off the motor, just throw a 2x4 under it pull the gaskets and replace .

If the intake is leaking it'd throw either P0171 or P0174 which are the lean codes. The PCM will richen the Fuel trims trying to correct the imbalance with the extra air it's sucking in. But you have the Rich codes, so it's either getting too much fuel from leaking injectors, or not enough air from a blocked air filter, pinched vaccum hose, etc.

Never waste time chasing an O2 code when you have an exhaust leak. Dude...

Old wrencheads never die, they just lose compression. I want a tatoo on my beer gut that says "alcohol injected"

The 02 codes went away.. knock sensor 1 & 2 circuit low frequency today. and i do recall a MAF sensor low voltage code a while back, but i cleared it and it went away.. air filters fine, and as far as i can see, there are no vacuum lines damaged. injectors shouldn't leak at 60K miles or am i wrong?
