WTF can you get a cheap Evo??? Last I checked even the uised ones are in the mid/high 20s and new ones are well over 30k. The regular WRX is just plain out o\slower than an SRT-4 and pricing is the same as the Evo if not more for an STi. Bang for the buck, SRT-4 has it all the way, even 03s with no limited slip were good for very low 14s/very high 13s stock as a rock and get good MPG as long as you watch t\youyr throttle useage. I understand where you are coming from too. My Vic gets right at 20 MPG and I am shocked that when i calcualated my gas usage for just the last 2 weeks i am around 100 bucks if not more!!!!! Undoryunaly I work about 35 miles away and have school on my off days about 25 miles away. Then there is the obligatory cruising in town on the weekends Anyways, I understand your pain and want a truck more than a car myself. IMHO, the SRT-4 is a well done, nicely priced rocket than not even the more expensive Cobalt SS can tocuh in acceleration. A new Srt-4 for 15k is a bitchin' deal and I would probably jump all over that if gin\ven the chance myself!!! What sucks is i just don't see gas prices droppikng, ever really.

I dunno where you've been looking, around here '03 Evos go for low $20s. '02 WRXs go for lower-mid teens.

I agree, a WRX is slower stock... I OWNED one until about four months ago. For $500 you can strap most of an exhaust on one and be really suprised. Boost comes on about 500rpm sooner to full load and you'll pick up about 25whp...
