    Found my Trans problem

Well my builder called me today and said my forward clutches were smoked. They looked fine when he put the trans together last time but now they are toast. This explains my 2-3 problem

    Ya, that's great!
But, find out why they burned up. Maybe an oiling issue or something.

    Hope you get it going.

Sounds like more of a 3-4 clutch issue to me, if it were the forward ones it'd slip in 1st. Either way there's a reason why they're burnt out. Usually with either one of those clutch packs failing it's due to poor machining on the oil pump where it slides over the input shaft teflon seals and causes low line pressure to those clutches. That'll cause them to slip and wear out prematurely.

+1 I made almost the exact post elsewhere. It's more likely he mistook forwards for 3-4 since they're near each other inside.

It did slip in first when I first took it out and stalled it up. But ic what you mean

Ohh I see, well it wouldn't surprise me if both were burnt, they are well known for this.

My 3-4s are brand new. I had 3-4s put in it and the builder said the forwards were ok the first time but, the trans had to come back out cuz it was slippin and the forwards are now trashed.
