    Torsion Bar Help

I want to drop my front end a little by decranking the torsion bars. The diesel racers swear by this for 4X4 launches as it helps prevent the front wheels from toeing in and breaking tie rods. So I put 5 full turns on the adjuster bolts and drove it around a little so it could settle. Front end dropped about an inch and my CV angles and tie rods are nice and level which is exactly what I was looking for.

However, the adjuster bolts are loose to where you can turn them freely by hand. Can I just take them all the way out and drive it like that without hurting anything? Wanted to make sure before I have it aligned. Thanks.

How much can you loosen and still be safe? I obviously over loosened them. Should I just tighten back up until they are snug again? Its sitting perfectly now but thats a moot point if Im going to end up breaking something. Thanks for any help.

I'd like to see some preload at least.

Why there is still pressure on the adjustment blocks, do the bolts really matter all that much?

my bolts are out, actually they are in my middle console lol, no floppy ride over here. Just had to cut down my bump stops one notch and its been that way for a least 10-12 months

I to did the same and just took them out, it dropped the front almost 2" from the stock HD 4x4 height, I was having problems with the tierods bending on 4x4 launches and this fixed it.
Even with the bolts all the way out there is still alot of preload on the keys so there isnt a chance of a bar slipping out at full droop.
