    Strange engine noise...:( need help

Motor started making this noise this weekend.
I hope it's nothing, been looking under hood, I do have one header flange bolt a little loose, will tighten up when I can jack it up to get to it.
Anyway the video is the truck, just started it, you can hear the squeeking on pass. side, not drivers, definitely from lower pass side. About 10 seconds after video it pretty much went away, but comes back.

Let me know what you think, I would hate for real trouble, this motor has less than 500 miles on it and I baby this thing.
    thx all

Not a clue man sorry. I had squeaking not too long ago but it was because I got fluid on the belt...

Positive it's not the belt. Not sure what I am looking/listening for.

Please let it be something insignificant.

Can't hear a squeak on my computer. Did you run it with the belt all the way off the engine just in case? Cam/rod/main bearings can squeak like that. Oil pressure good?

I did not run with belt off, but the noise is away from belt. It has great oil pressure, I always keep my eye on that...
    I hope it's not a bearing.

If it is the pressure will go away pretty soon. Noises are tough over the internet.

    something to check.................

years ago I had a vehicle come into my shop with a slight (barely there) exhaust leak and a "horrible screeching" above 1800 RPM which was highway speed. sounded just like a belt squeal, but was still there with the belt completely removed from the engine.

any guesses as to what it was???????????????????

the exhaust leak turned out to be loose bolts on the exhaust manifold. the screeching was the exhaust going between the manifold and the head, and the gasket turned into one big whistle. try a new header gasket or at least tightening the bolt and see if that helps.

    hopefully it's nothing too serious
Old wrencheads never die, they just lose compression. I want a tatoo on my beer gut that says "alcohol injected"

me and virgil were talking about engine noises the other day, go run the hell out of it and see what happens if it quits its fixed, if it doesnt quit then you know its just an annoying noise, if it goes than you know it was something significant

    ya,
I am going to tighten all exhaust on it this evening...and still drive it, what's the worst that can happen? Blow a motor? If it's on it's way out (even though it is a new motor w/ less than 500 miles) then there is nothing I can really do about besides rebuild it anyway or get another, right?
Lay the pedal down and tear some shit up!

well, I did get a chance to make sure header bolts are tight, but not ablt to tighten collector bolts, forgot my pawinlaw has my jack stands, and getting wrenches on these collectors is a 2 man ordeal, really.
Anyway, at idle i hear the squeak, if I give a little gas, noise goes away on and on decel, comes back on cold idle, pretty much goes away after a couple minutes. As soon as I get the collector bolts tight, I will report back.
