To the OP....GM changed from the two connector PRNDL switch to the the single slider in like 05 or 06 I think. Not sure if anyone has an adapter harness but you should and/or could just swap the switch possibly. Not sure the 60 and 80 have different switches but the different years do.
The switches can be used on both transmissions. That is not an issue. Vince
