I read that the LQ4 motors with cable operated throttle body's were 80mm, while the 5.3L & 4.8L throttle bodies were both 75mm. I have not talk to two parts guys at differnet GM dealerships that swear there is not difference in the two throttle bodies, even though they have different part numbers. PN 88984262 = 6.0L and PN 88984260 = 5.3L & 4.8L.

Does anybody have any experience with this? Are they really different?
No more trucks, but this is what I used to have. 2000 GMC Sierra, 6.0L-LQ4, Built 4L60, LS6 Cam, The Other Guys Headers, 3 inch exhaust and 7 chamber flowmaster, 43lb injectors, Nelson Tuning, Drop - 3/4 McGaughys Spindles, Bell Tech Shackles & Hangers. Best time 13.59 @ 106
