Thread: Any Ideas?

  1. #11
ran a scan...the reason it was locking and unlocking was becasue the computer was reading the trans temp at 120 or so, then out of no where it would read -30 or something(this then unlocking the convertor to warm up the trans beacuse it thinks it is actually cold when it is not)...so what senor do i need to replace to in order to have it reading the right temp all of the time?

check the wiring outside the trans first.
ohm out the wire from the pcm to the trans connector, don't forget to shake and move the wire around while checking it.
then remove the pan and replace the trans temp sensor i guess, it's the circuit board looking thing bolted on the underside of the valvebody.

I have to agree with everyone else, it's your Tq locking and un locking.

The TFT sensor is part of the pressure manifold switch as Allen stated.
