    Stewart--you need to ditch that ORY and do true duals. No need to merge the exhaust. When redoing the exhaust, have 3-bolt flanges welded onto the ends of the header collectors. Much easier to deal with when you need to take the exhaust off than with the band clamps.

    i have 3 bolt flanges on the collectors too...

    its just where the drivers side of the Y pipe meets the passenger side it just goes stright into the passenger side making a T...

    heres what i have going on...also where the red arrow is, the pipe is bent down to make it a D shape so it can clear the oil pan.

    I can do better drawing with my feet on an Etch-a-sketch...

    Is your Y pipe custom built? If so, shorten the leaders on the y pipe so you can have a sweeping joint. I had to cut the passenger side tranny heat shield to get mine to fit...

    no mine is the old style pacesetter y pipe. theres a muffler shop that wheatley used to make him a mandrel bent Y pipe without any crushed parts. im going to go to them and get them to make me a y pipe and fix all of my exhaust leaks.
