Yeah Google helps me with GM technical stuff....it's a stretch to say "everyone says" <insert anything>.It won't hurt to switch it to green if you can get all the Dexcool out. There's just no point.

Consumer complaints about DexCool in GM Engines
Plus you also run the risk of someone putting the wrong kind in. I do all the maint on my families cars. And every so often ''someone'' will put the wrong kind in my grandma's 07 burban, and then I gotta flush it all out and stuff. I put a sticker on the cap that says ''GREEN COOLANT ONLY'' Like on my gas cap I put ''93 fuel only''
If it works for you it's A-OK Jeff. Like I said, there is no real harm that I know of.
I switched to green, mostly for the reduced cost. My cooling system is drained for one reason or another probably twice a year, and the green stuff is a lot cheaper to refill.

Thanks for all the responses!!! I don't like to work on stuff more than I have to, so I went with the dexcool extend. 5ye 150,000 miles. Besides living in good old California flushing the radiator to get all the red out would be a pita.
