Most G8's are 3.6 V6 like the base CTS in a bigger wrapper. Haven't seen a 6.2 in person yet. The 6.0 could run well with a tune but sucks without one.

I forget, is the 6 cyl from the V6 G8's the direct port injected 300hp V6?
My next vehicle is going to be a G8 GXP. I graduate from school in December, and as soon as I get myself a good paying job I'm ditching the Silverado and getting a G8. The soon-to-be wifey wants a few kids so having 2 Camaros and a regular cab truck isn't going to work out very well haha
Who cares what 6 is in the G8 and I don't wanna look it up. I also don't care if the fake Cobalt Pontiac is a G5 or G4.

Guess I'll have to look into that. I thought it was the 300hp version but I could be wrong. I know I wouldn't buy one unless it was a GT, probably not even that though. I really want the GXP with the 6spd.
Have you guys seen the pictures of the possible SLP G8 Firehawk? That thing is diiirty.
Looks like the V6 version is the LY7. It's a hooptie 3.6L that only makes 261hp and 250 ft/lb. Man, what a downer.
I guess its the same 6 in my Vue.
