    Last time i heard that noise it cost me 2000.00!!!!!!! pull the valve cover!

    well everything looks good with all the rockers, pushrods and springs. Unless its one of the inner springs broke, its not on the top side of the heads. I swapped the rockers and pushrods from the driver's side to the passenger's side. So the heads are coming off as soon as i get the LS7 lifters in. They should be here hopefully tomorrow or monday.

    As a last ditch effort put a pint of auto trans fluid in the oil and go for a 1 hour ride around town. If you have a hunk of dirt or crud in the lifter it's your best chance of cleaning it out. Otherwise the head has to come off and you can disassemble the lifter on the bench, inspect and if it's obviously a hunk of dirt, reassemble and reuse

    I just went a head and ordered ls7 lifters.

    what did the ls7 lifters cost you?? i may have the same issue. i cant hear mine from under the hood only from in the cab or under the truck. you have a Part number for those lifters? as i may be swapping the brand new set i bought last winter. 8( let me know what you find on this one. good luck!
