why would the push rod be hitting the valve cover?

Two of my rocker arms were just loose for some crazy reason. It seriously takes like ten min to take the valve covers off and just make sure the rocker arms are basically tight.

If it's not wind noise from the camera and not someone tapping on your truck, I'd say it's a loose/broken rocker or a lifter.

Pull the valve cover and check.

Just change the lifters if not, I'm (well jon is) doing mine today and it'll be done in a few hours, only takes half a day or so.

Either that or a sticky lifter.

Oh ya, you asked if we should go ahead and retune, sd tune, let's skip the retune if you don't have it fixed. That's a little louder than I imagined when you mentioned the issue with your truck.
It's not a good idea to run the truck hard, under boost with that noise going on.
