    6.0 block

I found someone local thats selling a 6.0 block with heads. I could swap everything from my 4.8 on the 6.0 block and itll work right? I was thinking with the maggie it would be really simple.

Swap everything and give Dale the 4.8.

5.3L heads will up the compression. Are they stock or ported and polished, or what? If stock, I would think you may squeeze out just a couple ponies because of the higher compression, as long as they flow as well as the 6.0 heads.

crank, bearings, cam, timing set, it will all swap over. Rods may need to be swapped to full floating style with bushings for the piston end. Get pistons that are designed for full floating piston pins for less drag. Of course 6L engine has a larger piston and the 5.3L pistons won't work in it. You'll also have to get the rotating assembly rebalanced for the 6L pistons and rods.
