    Transmission or torque converter problem?

I was cruising at 80 mph with the cruise control on when all of a sudden the motor revved to the limiter. The truck was in drive and it coasted to a stop like it was in neutral. No funny grinding or clunks when it happened. In all gears nothing happens no grinding no movement justs revs up. Tranny fluid not burnt. Checked gear selector at tranny it is engaging. Tranny has 150,000 miles on it. Every transmission I have had that grenaded usually starts slipping
or gives some indication that it is crapping out. Does this sound like a TC problem? It has a TB stall (I6).

Are you sure it going into gear? Sounds like the front pump, been there before.

Pretty sure it is going in gear.RPM's jump up about 200.Now when I put it in gear I get some bad grinding sound.Pulling it tomorrow.Looks like 80e time.

It probably needs to come out. But you could check for cooler flow to see if it was the pump that broke. If there is cooler flow, pump is OK. So then it would probably be a shaft problem.
