Upgrading 93 L05 to vortec, need help!

I have a 93 yukon and i am looking into putting some vortec heads on it since the general consensus is that my stock heads suck. im wondering if i can still use my intake manifold or will i need to change that over? And basically what else would be involved

Ya, you will need a new intake. Your 93 is TBI and has a different intake bolt pattern than the Vortecs. The Vortecs don't have any internal exhaust passages for the EGR valve. I THINK--Scoggin Dickey sells a Vortec intake with a TBI mounting flange and uses the stock Vortec EGR feed tube.

Yes, the conversion stuff is available at SD. There are lots of little parts needed.
