me vs my buddy's chevy

this may not be the right place to place this...and if its not i apologize!!...but i sorta have a complaint with my truck...for the past 2 days me and my buddy have been catching each other coming home from work on the local highway...he is 100% stock with the exception of the hypertech programmer...hes got the ccsb...the same motor...same trans..maybe a different rear...with everything ive got done...though not to much done...i figured id walk him...at the line i get him...but not by much...and at a roll i get the jump but he walks me to hell and back...maybe i shouldnt be all that po'ed bout the situation but c'mon..... any suggestions?...

you have a 5.3? What is the rear gear ratio of ur truck vs his truck? Ditch the Jet programmer and get a Nelson tune, the grannetelli mass air is a waste, sell it to help pay for your tune.

thats what ive heard...unfortunately i didnt know that til after i joined this forum...never really did see any increased hp with the new mafs..i know i have the 373...not sure what hes got...yes...5.3 and 60e tranny for both

nah...hes an 08 and im o4....just found out that the 08 puts out 40 more hp then its previous years..both 4x4
