    Anybody thought of a diesel conversion?

    YES. I have. Ive always wanted to put a diesel into my truck, but I dont know if its ever been done in my body style, let alone could be done. frames might be completely different. Maybe when they come out with the 1/2ton diesels they will work

    it can be done! you might need some motor mounts made but frame rails are similar ive put a 8.1 in a 1/2 and only one mount had to be modified and idk how well the Alison fits in a 1/2 ton trany tunnel the Alison isnt huge but its not small ethier

    I have a Dmax engine and harness for sale. It has been done. I would use the 80E over the alison. That thing is just HUGE and just to build one out you are looking over 3500.00.. No trans brake options that I know of, and you have to modify the tranny tunnel area heavily to make it fit.

    Simply the best turbo kit for late model GM trucks.

    i dont think they are exatly i probably should measure both mine to see i know that the trany cross member is different and a 80e probably would be better for strip and i was thinking ats made a race type 4 speed but just checked there site and no 4 speed
    but i do love alisons they are so easy to build and they are just a simple trans they are very cool i think just not in a 1/2ton

    id love to have one but just blew all my saved up $$ on mine but it was well worth it

    I know its been done in a 69 or 70 model c10 2wd sc/sb. It even had an edge juice programmer on it.
