I converted my 93 Sierra from 4.3L TBI to a 4.8L LSx. Find yourself the engine you want to use, and I can walk you through it. It's not hard, but it will take you a while if you don't have the parts lined up. I got my swap done in under 3 weeks, and I figured it out as I went.

I recommend you look for a 5.3L or 6.0L out of a truck, the 5.3's are relatively cheap, and make great power and torque compared to your 4.3L. Heck my 4.8L (280/280 HP/TQ) feels pretty good with my 3.42 gear. If you can get a pull out with trans, you are even further ahead.
