Hand guns, lol get a shot gun and cut to length. No need to be real accurate to get someones attention.
No matter what the law reads you will always have the chance the cop just does not know or does not care. Traveling is such a broad term anyway. But I am no law office understanding person, got pulled over for tires too wide once. Had to wait 45min, while the cop looked through the book.. I tried telling him its not wide law, its how far off the body lines. Still took 45min. to get told, Iwill let you off this time. LOL

Nah some places allow you to even "rent" the pistols for the course.


Anyway, I carried it for the weekend. We went to South Padre Island for a show, towing a pos with several $$$$ in audio equipment in it I wanted that lil extra protection going. As I said originally I have no real need to carry any other time, just wanted it in the vehicle with me.

CHL might be something I do, but like others I think it could be as much of an problem as it is a benefit.

You can have a gun in the car and at home with no CHL and that's our last bit of ability. Use it. The downsideSSS of a CHL are obvious to those who THINK.

We're talking about carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle here, presumably for self defense. The laws governing the use of deadly force in the state of Texas apply equally to all citizens regardless if you are a CHL holder or a non-CHL holder. I know when I can use it and when I can't, thats my responsibility as a CHL holder. I don't understand the logic behind a CHL holder being more accountable than anyone else when it comes to the use of deadly force. I can only guess that you're referring to how a jury might perceive a CHL holder vs. a non-CHL holder in the event of a civil lawsuit? If thats the case let me know and I will elaborate.

Ability to defend our homes, ourselves, our families. The ability to be allowed to follow what the Constitution says, not what stupid gun laws say.

Not sure what that crap above means with the name calling but our last bit of ability to carry and protect ourselves under the Laws of the Consitution that says nothing about having to pay fees or carry a license. CHL's are unconstitutional and I don't wanna hear a single CHL holder cry when YOU are the 1st to have you guns taken away. It WILL happen, probably sooner than later. I'd rather my neighbor nor my Congressman know if and what I carry...

I have several guns , do I carry ? No . Do I have a CHL ? No . Am I so afraid I have to carry a gun ? No .
I am glad that if I so desire I could carry a gun , but I am not so paranoid that I do . I am like the other guy , I can do some serious damager to a person with out a gun . If someone else has a gun and I don't . Let me get a little closer , I will change that .

You cant get your CHL overnight. I know people who have waited weeks to get it. But, go ahead and get your course out of the way. I carry since I was almost carjacked when in my truck.
