yep thats a lot of stroke for not alot of bore a square motor is best like a 402 is 4 on the bore and 4 on the stroke our better with the 3.622 stroke or what ever stock is thats my opinion anyway

Be better than a 6.0. I bet you would see some nice numbers with that block.
I thought about doing this with my old motor. But for the $$$ you can get a much better setup.

I've been looking at the 347 and 383 on here Xtreme Horsepower::Search results
they have a 408 as well just not sure which way to go with what i want. a 347 and the cam i have may do the trick but if i can get more tq from the 383 that's the way I'll go.. Haven't fooled with motors since i was 15-19 on my 88 Formula i built a 383 for it. Now i just don't have a place or room to build my own I'm gonna have to get a short block and slam it together in a weekend

reason i like the 383 for my build. i can still run the small bore heads. these heads are designed for the 347 so now with a 4" stroke your forcing more air so taking full benefit of heads and stroke. I can als get away with a cam that was designed for stock cubes. Trex is my favorite cam. its probably thee most aggressive stock displacment cam around the Trex lacks bottomend, Trex is topend so 383 is bottomend cause of stroke but still a small piston so it can still rev up top. top this off with 1 7/8 headers and ported fast 90 and youll have a 530rwhp monster NA with around 460rwtq. not bad for a small bore big stroke monster
