well my 02 silverado's fuel pump is begining to wine intermittently. The wine is fairly loud. I know people on this site have found a way around the $400 factory replacement. I heard that mallory has one. Just wanted to know what the model was and if summit or jegs sells it and how much. Is there a lot of fabrication required or does it bolt in. does the fuel guage sender stay in the tank. thanks.

I would send my old pump and canister to Racetronix and they will put a walbo 255 in it for like $200. That pump is probley good for 550 rwh so if you do any big mods you want have to replace the stock pump later on.

You can drop the tank, and replace just the pump, and sock filter. Buy an aftermarket one from Magnuson, and you'l be ready. The dealers like to sell the WHOLE fuel pump module, because it's probly a ton of labor charges to take everything apart and replace just the pump. But...it can be done. I got one off Ebay for $150 to change out the pump in preperation for my Radix install.
