    Service 4WD

I'm converting my truck to 2wd from 4wd. Can the PCM be programed as a C instead of a K or can the U-code be deleated so the PCM does not send a fault message to the cluster? With a different VIN will the SIR light come on do to the fact BCM SIR and PCM will not have the same VIN

    5.3, E-fans, LPP longtubes w/offroad Y, Dual Magnaflow, K&N Cold Air, 160 thermo, Voodoo 212/218 .531/.531 113 cam, Nelson Tune, 4:11, Built 4L65E, TrailBlazer converter. SOLD

Don't worry about the SIR....the BCM/SDM synch has the most to do with the SIR key. As far as the VIN goes you can probably force the VIN to the BCM then do a theft relearn to get the SDM synched if needed. Depends on the year on how the TCCM reacts.
