So we got hit with about a foot of snow, and my friend is driving his truck around and goes into a snowbank and gets stuck, so who does he call but me. I go and pull him out, and as were about to leave we get stopped by 2 cops. They ended up telling me to get out of my truck because they said my eyes were red and they were going to search my truck. My eyes are always red but i was perfectly fine. Well i got patted down, searched, truck got ripped apart and they didnt find anything. So they wrote me a civil citation for trespassing (even though i was in a public parking lot, it just had no people in it) They also would not let me leave because they said i was under an influence and no matter what i said they told me to stop talking. I had to get a ride, and have someone drive my truck before it got impounded. I guess its cause im younger but....they didnt even ask to search my truck he just demanded i get out.

yeah, thats illegal...but mass, im not surprised (i grew up in ri)

thats sounds real similar to what happened to my brother, some cops are just out to get people!!! but what they did is definitely illegal.

Well weed is decriminalized and the kid who i pulled outta the snowbank got caught for it but they still had no right to search me and when i asked him why he said "driver, step out of the vehicle immediately"

I just looked it up too, they can only search your vehicle if you agree to it, something is in plain view, or if you are under an influence and they make an arrest.

Yeah--and next time they tell you to get out of your truck...turn it off AND lock the doors.

it seems like the nicer your ride especially if youre young cops try to fug with you more, they love me especially when they ask where i work and i reply i make money but i dont have a job ive had my truck searched a few time every time they find my gun they flip out then im all i got a permit for that here lately even though i got arrested the cops have been cool i think theyre just gettin used to me.

If the kid you were pulling out was caught for weed at that time and you were there with him then they technically do have the right. They should have explained it and not been such dicks about it. It's called search incident to arrest. You're with someone who was caught with a controlled substance so for their safety they search you. Basically Guilty by association they just can't legally call it that. I'd never do it unless I was fishing. Next time they tell you your eyes are red just tell them you have allergies

i didnt see this post til just now, well no **** they told you to get out, guilty by association dude it happens, never happen to me, i try not to associate myself with pot heads but sometimes it happens.
