I for one will be getting a new Camaro, I love them! Or a GTP, not sure yet.

In the past, I've owned several, unfortunately, one was a v6, but what's funny, it was still just as fast/er as the v8 rustange, lol. The V8's, no competition.

Keep in mind the car is only a $30K car, lol. Has 422hp, nice brakes, clean interior and will probably run 12's in the 1/4, what's not to like?

Try to find any other car priced the same with a better engine, and btw, the Camaro is supposed to corner at .97g's, that's not too shabby.

The Camaro's direct competition is the Charger/Challenger and Mustang, I think they accomplished their goal.

Like the GTO, it's going to be the best bang for the buck!

I've been in $50K denali's and $60K vettes, guess what, after a year or two, they shake and rattle too. Sure, some cars rattle more than others, but you have to look at how much this car is gonna be. $30K for a car that has 100hp more than its predecessor.

What killed the Camaro, probably saftey standards, not practical for women, not a big enough market for the type of car it was, rough ride, cheap interior, but for those who wanted a great foundation for what was available at the time, you couldn't beat it.

The 2002 Camaro SS was $30K, average interior and -100hp.

Sounds like we're getting a pretty decent car that will pull .97 on the skidpad, be around $30K, ride decent and killer looks.

BTW, GM is offering a "white" camaro, nothing but a body and panels for the diehard racers, if you want a racecar, then build it.

There is no such thing as a Denali, Escalade, or even a Vette that shakes and rattles like all F-cars. The good V-8 car will be a lot more than $30K and $30K ain't discount anyway. The GTO was a good road car but weighs a million pounds and has too much standard equipment to be a real muscle car. Let's see.....in 3 years GM couldn't sell as many GTO's as they thought they would in the 1st year....same above goes for the SSR. There's a reason all three were discontinued....it's the same reason a truck site like this exists....V8 usuable performance that doesn't cost an arm and two legs.

Am I the only one that thinks the interior of the camaro on that vid was down right ugly? I wouldn't be surprised if i was the only one...I've been told I'm weird a time or two.

I'm not denying the fcar had bad interior, no need to argue that.
I know it also gives any future fcar a hard time to prove itself.

But to say the new camaro is going to rattle, have crappy interior, is too heavy, don't handle, isn't worth it, is ugly, even before you have a chance to drive it (not just a test drive) isn't fair lol?

I know we're a truck site, and it's hard to beat a truck, but what kind of car are you expecting for the price and performance?

If you don't like it, that's great! But if you don't like it and have all these excuses on why you don't like it, and have no experience behind the wheel...

Now if this was a Honda or Mazda post, I wouldn't have responded, but it's a GM.

So tell me, since none of us have one, what would you change about the new Camaro? Keeping in mind, it's a production car that's going to fit multiple users. It's not claiming to be the fastest car, it's not claiming to be the best handling, but it is a huge improvement over what the fbody's used to be.

And to back up the GTO, I understand the looks aren't as impressive as the car it "replaced", the TransAm, but jeez, what else do you want for 30K?
I haven't ran across one car that is close to $30K that can beat it in an all around performance contest. Hell, I threw a small cam, stall and headers on it, now I have a vette killer lol, for half the price, with better interior hahha, and less rattles.

Honestly, I'm hoping it's going to grow on me, but it won't stop me from getting one.
Just like the new Silverados still haven't grown on me, just me though.

Everything costs too much. The Camaro will cost too too much LOL. I'm also no fan of retro. I guess there is a chance it's not as crappy as the past ones quality wise. The GTO's are great drivers for sure....but they're hardly GM products other than name (Australian Holden via Germany's Opel platform, see Catera/CTS).
