    Thumbs up

It is ALWAYS better on EVERYTHING (speakers, amp, even radio!) to have more watts because if you get a small amp and it doesn't hit hard, you usually start tweakin with the gain levels on the amp or the subwoofer levels on the radio, and all that does is cause distortion, which ends up causing blown speakers, prematurely worn out voice coils, and your amp will overheat alot faster then it usually would. if i were you i would much rather fork over a couple hundred dollars more for a bigger amp that can push more watts RMS and turn the gain all the way down, then buy a small one and crank up the distortion.. Its better on everything, distortion=problems. also for the highs i'd do the same, invest in a good 4 channel amp and hook it up to them bose speakers, you'll see a big difference in the quality of the sound at high volumes, and it'll keep you from having to buy those expensive ass bose speakers that get blown because they distort when you wanna jam out. all in all, if you do this you will have a rockin sound system.

man... i can't help but be biased towards kicker. I've always had kicker, and never had any problems out of any of their speakers or amps. Right now i have a kicker zx750.1 amp, and two kicker cvr 10's. i had two cvx 12's but i sold them, both great speakers. All there stuff has a one year warranty, so if a speaker blows, or your amp fries, take it to a dealer (their website has a dealer finder) and they will either take it off your hands and immediately replace it with a new one or send it off to be examined by kicker and they will determine whether it has been damaged by water (that's the only thing that they won't give you a new one for). heres some suggestions.

    here's where to start off

    Kicker Homepage

Here's what i would go with.
    Subwoofers- CVR'S
Amp (i'd get the mono zx1000.1 If your only gettin two 10's, which is what your first post said..)-ZX AMPS

and the good thing about kicker amps, they lie about there RMS wattage, mine is a zx750.1, RMS output=750 watts, but it came with a certificate showin that it passed all its tests before it left the factory, but it said maximum output wattage= 926W! pretty cool. so even if it said 1000 watts RMS it'll most likely push about 1200. get all this and pick up one of these kicker amp install kits and you'll be ready to go. well almost... if you have an extended cab or regular cab check out this website for speakerboxes custom made for your truck PROBOX they make GREAT boxes. your welcome lol
