I keep updating you guys becuase i know a drivetrain vibe can be a pita.

Well, Joe and I (well joe did) pull the pinion yoke last night and replaced it with pretty much a brand new one.
As soon as the ujoint caps set into place on the yoke seats, i knew it was much better, the slack was eliminated, the was no side to side movement between the yoke and snap rings. I guess when the shaft was ripped out, it made the yoke widen a little bit.
I took it for a test drive right after and the hmmm/vibration was gone

I got it up to about 90mph (wow was it nice to go that fast again), and i didn't notice any vibes from the shaft.

I do however have another vibration, but this one is kind of random and is in the seat and steering wheel, i'm guessing it's the old farm tires that are as hard as a tricycle tire, doh. i'm going with the Kuhmo tires, i've heard good things about them and plus look how cheap they are.

i hope this experience helps others in tracking down thier vibe problems.

btw, when the shaft was off, joe felt the movement of the bearings and ring and pinion, and he didn't like the way it felt, so we're going to tear it down and replace the bearing and stuff. he said it felt like the bearing were binding or rough, while turning the yoke.

    later,

If his truck will run 255 with the help of Edit I am sure 120 should be a safe test run after tires I hope.
