    PT88... Finally home

    copied and paste from RGVtruckperformance.net:
Well after the accident i had in my truck and just been parked at home getting fixed , i decided to up grade my PT76gts turbo to the PT88mm .96a/r from Precision Turbo . so finally the turbo got here yesterday and damm this turbo is huge. The 88mm compressor wheel is all im ever going to need, it looks real nice just what i wanted. So Edgar ill be seeing you pretty soon for a dyno tune. And ill post pics of the turbo later on today im polishing the compressor housing right now., For those that dont know my set-up here is the basic info: 370ci Forged 8.8c, custom turbo cam 114+2lsa, 60lbs. Siemens injectors, and all the suporting mods with a 75shot of NOS

full boost is about 4500 with my setup. from a roll if i brake boost it its insane. if i roll into it theres a slight delay unless im in a decent gear.

it hits violently, i can roll into 3rd gear around 80 and as soon as turbo spools instant fishtail. this is with 305/40/20s

4500 is witha 4.8 with a 230/236 cam to, a larger motor will spool this pig alot sooner. with my little motor you dont start to hear the turbo whistle till about 13psi. 9psi turbo is hardly working. the topend this turbo has is a monster. drive with two hands once you crank up the boost since truck will have a habit of steering itself

since i have the same turbo ill speak on this member. its a precision turbo. i actually got mine for 1550. this did not include the oil fittings or the V clamp. for the 2 fittings and the Vclamp with weld on ring i had another 200 dollars into those items. so a total of 1750 for whole deal. turbo is rated at 1250hp. its a journal bearing turbo that doesnt require a restrictor. very hard hitting turbo
