i dont think you will gain too much if any? trucks are heavy and need all the lowend it can take.... especially your AWD SS... you will gain a whole lot more with a bigger converter, dont be scared to go with a 3800-4000 converter, they are very street drivable, well at least my fuddle is...... but if you insist on a bigger cam, i might have my old custom grind 226/226 112+4 for sale...

You will gain a little from going bigger up top, but with a FAST you will gain a lot up top and still keep your bottom end. And once you get heads with higher compression you can add in a larger cam because with the added compression and better flowing intake youll be flowing more air down low so you will notice a lot less loss down low going to a larger duration cam. Check out the dyno section on Ls1tech there are a ton of dynos showing the power curves of different cams. It also depends on if you are going to run nitrous or not, I dont agree with a lot of peoples cam choices because I believe in average power more then peak and also in having a cam that makes great power at cruise rpm so you dont have to constantly unlock the tc to get up hills. With that said if you are going to go to a bigger cam get something close to what I said so later on when you get heads and a better intake you can take full advantage of it.
