    Are you guys sure the synthetic Penzoil is bad? I only ran it twice because i got it for cheap after mail-in-rebates, so did it stay clean because there is not enough detergents , therefore bad?

    BTW, i run Mobil 1 and Brad Penn now

    that was true in the past when oils had Zinc in them, now since EPA and other regulatoins passed laws now majority of all oil sold has hardly any zinc or none at all. this is why alot of old motors had the crystal like sludge developing inside from oil breaking down. this is also why old flat tappet motors are failing these days since todays oil doesnt have the zinc to help with wear of older motors.


    to the OP, its your money if you want to change oil go for it, if you dont then dont. you can run up to 4 or 5k roughy on any of todays oil without having major issues with normal use/driving.
