new times with a stock ls1 cam 5.3

hey guys i just put a stock 1998 ls1 cam in my truck i got for free from a friend and figured it would be a learning experiance. I didn't change the tune but need to as this cam wants to rev a lil higher then the old one.

old times at night 40 degrees out
    2.292
    6.340
    9.657
    74.148
    12.424

    14.935
    91.84

New times with same tune and ls1 cam in the day about 60 outside and head wind

    2.2811
    6.357
    9.684
    74.45
    12.432

    14.908
    93.32

the truck feels like it pulls better in the top of the gears but it is dead out of the hole deffinetly not traction problems just a pig. I know i need a converter but what size? I tow my car to the track but still want a decsent stall

i'm pretty happy with it for a free mod and my waterpump was already leaking so it was a good time to do them both. I'm not sure how much the tune will help but i know a converter will make a huge difference
