That's not really an issue, the only difference is the crank is the spacer, and only a flexplate is bolted to the crank, not a spacer and flexplate like the 01+ trucks.
See if you can install a camaro flywheel and a camaro converter, should bolt right up.

We just installed a large converter in a HD, Yank only offers them in a camaro style flexplate, so we bought that, remove the spacer and everything went in fine.
