A turbo is probably not the way to go if you are looking for more low end especially if you are only going to run 3-4 psi. A supercharger would be better for the low end grunt that you are looking for but will cost as much as a turbo. You should get a custom tune and have Allen spec you a cam with some low end. Gears and headers would be the next step and you would notice a big difference for about half the cost of a turbo.Originally Posted by 1fastchevy

If you buy the basic parts, the rest is just fab work.
Buy the turbo, oil system for the turbo, wastegate, injectors, fuel pump and a tune. You can weld a flange on the stock exhaust to mount the turbo. And all you should need is cold side pipes, couplings, and tapping the oil in. The rest of it is just time. IMO.
