    '04 4.8L longbed

All stock, just a magnaflow muffler, made 230hp / 228tq

We'll get it dyno'd next week and see what the new shorty headers and air box mod makes.

    Just an FYI,

    later,

I figured someone would want to know eventually lol.
Nothing great but it's nice to see HP growth with mods, but you need a baseline first.

So a 4.8 swap into my Blazer that currently has the stock 209K mile 4.3 is worth 70 horsepower and FOURTEEN FT/LBS OF TORQUE?

We will soon, he's an employee here, so we need some downtime to get it back on the dyno.

Cool, look forward to the results. My 05' w/ a Corsa catback, Shaner TB, CAI, and a tune thru the stock convertor dynoed at 225hp/260ft lbs. Just trying to figure out what is up w/ my HP #'s

This truck did have a magnaflow muffler and I did tweek on the tune, but then loaded the stock tune for comparison, we saw some nice tq increase but only 4hp or so.
After a week of driving, the truck picked up more power just sotp.

So, this next dyno will be with the shorty headers only, but the tune will be "broken in" by then.

    I'll keep you updated,
    allen
