    Unhappy

I know Ron is doing a swap with the T56 tranny, I think? Anyway, would this just be too much of a pain in the ass to do? I don't have money right now to do any swaps yet but this has been picking my mind for some time now. What about the PCM, would then have to use one from a camaro with the t-56 right? A 6 speed in a silverado would look sweet! What do you guys think?

been there done that, i am doing exactly what u said above. Just find an LS1 that has a 6 speed on it. My truck has a 5 speed on it with hydraulic clutch, so it's no big deal to swap in a 6 speed, i don't gotta worry about the master cylinder or anything or the pedal assembly. it's already in my truck.

The only question I have is what hydraulic line I use for my clutch release. The 01's line looks to be screwed into the release mechanism while the T56 looks like a quick connect similiar to the fuel line connections.
Also I have both pcm's but I think I will try the truck one first. I don't know if I would have a vats problem with the T/A computer. I will have a problem with the truck shutting down at 128 with the HPP3 as I do now with the 4.8, I don't think I would have this problem with the T/A pcm.
