In Texas it's tough to get a noise ticket to stick. There is no Db limit and everyone is legal as long as a vehicle conforms to traffic and inspection law (because the only ticket they can make stick is an equipment ticket). This means in most cases you have to have a muffler. Not much else in the law (you have to have the exhaust system exit behind the passenger compartment but on a truck that means dumps are legal past the cab). "Anything modified" isand won't stand up in court....the problem is how long and hard you might have to fight to get the case(s) in the proper hands?

yea Js is loud as hell, i was wondering why your truck was at daves dink, anyways you can take like the flowmaster box and a reciept of purchase to court with you, it says 50 state legal right on the damn box, the judge should throw it out. I got the e cutout now, thinking about running a stock exhaust then just opening the cutout when i wanna be loud

The difference between winning and losing, is having a 2nd stage.
It is perfectly legal to modify you truck. Just as long as all the parts you put on your truck are DOT approved. If they are not then you can have a problem. But if as you say all you have is a muffler then when you go into court show and tell the judge that what you have modified on your truck is DOT approved. The judge should throw it out. Otherwise if they don't then you will have to hire a lawyer and then start the process of appeals.

it has twisters on it but i read up on the oklahoma law and it says anything modified is illegal. i mite try to do that and show them its DOT approved and has exhaust on it
