Need Help!!!!

Can you bore a 4.8L block to a 4.030", (slightly bigger than the 6.0L bore)????

I have heard yes.... and i have heard no... I dont see why not because of some things i have looked up, a 4.8 and 5.3 share the same bore, but have different stroke... the 5.3 and the 6.0 share the same stroke, but the 6.0 has a 4" bore... all the components (A/C, alternator, water pump, etc...) match up for all the engines. so why couldnt i bore my 4.8 from a 3.78" to a 4". i need to know if i need to buy a 6.0 block before i order all my internals. and setup a date at the machine shop. any and all help is appreciated!
