I got a 6.0 and 4L80E trans from a 2003 HD truck. When I install the trans Is there a way to eliminate the fly by wire or integrate it? Kind of lost on this part everything else is in order. Thanks for any help.

If you've got the powertrain from a 6.0 truck that was designed to use the drive by wire it's probably best to just go ahead and get the components to make it work. You'll need the throttel pedal, ETC control box that is mounted on the firewall, driver's side, and associated wiring.

AFAIK you'll just need a standard TB, throttle cable(s), reflash the computer, and well you'll have to check to see if the TPS and IAC plugs will work OR you'll have to find an older harness/get yours converted over.
At least that's what I can think of.![]()

Let's face it, the red hair... makes 'em wet.
Yes I know how to remedy the throttle body problem but I am wondering about the electronic shift pack on the side of the tranny? How will I make that work?
