I'm running mine on the ol' 16" Alloy Stockers, not even polished.
As far as tire pressure, I'm using the standard 35psi.
A few ppl have complaints on these tires, I have heard numerous times that these are really hard to keep balanced and that they decrease gas mileage.
So I suppose a few bad sets may be circulating out there. It's not all that uncommon to get tires with inferior tread or sidewalls, maybe you should really check them out to see if that is the problem.
