Paying it forward

What have you done to pay it forward.. im curious.. its a concept that came up in chat tonight..
if you dont know what this is...
The expression "pay it forward" is used to describe the concept of third party beneficiary in which a creditor who offers the debtor the option of "paying" the debt forward by lending it to a third person instead of paying it back to the original creditor. Debt and payments can be monetary or by good deeds. In sociology, this concept is called "generalized reciprocity" or "generalized exchange". A related transaction, which starts with a gift instead of a loan, is alternative giving.

Well Ive done three things the past semester:

- Helped a drug addict
- Helped my badly scarred teacher
- Helped a kid at school who was being bullied

Jeez I had to think about it for a while. I helped my sister inlaw realize that she can have a better life.

i had someone help me with my truck not long ago.. im helping others with thier computers and sending my old parts to those who need them when i can.

ehh i give away parts that ill never use if someone else needs em, ive always been this way though, firm believer in paying it forward.

Well Ive done three things the past semester:

You also helped me by driving me home after I lost the truck!!!


I try to do at least one good deed per day. Whether its stopping and helping a stranded motorist, helping someone carry groceries, or rescuing someone from a fire. I feel that if you help out enough people, one day when you need help, you'll have a lot of support.

I try to help people as often as I can...in hopes that in turn one day someone will help me when I most need it.
