cranks, but no power. need help!!!

i switched my 4.8 ecm to my 6.0 ecm today. after i did it i had no power, the engine would crank, but no other power. i checked all the fuses and they are good. the fuses that are not supposed to have power with the key off have power, but it is very faint.

    what do you guys think?

What mod did you make? Sounds like you have open circuit voltage during your fuse test. This indicates an open ground circuit. Recheck all your grounds.

I would check all of your ground connections first. Did the motor crank over strong? Or did it sound weak?

Make sure that the alternator connections are solid, as well as the battery's positive terminal connections to the under hood fuse panel and to the harness.

one question is why did you use a 6.0 computer? second question is it a "tuned pcm for a 6.0" or is it a 6.0 stock computer?

just thought it would work better, i put the 4.8 ecm back in and checked all my grounds, reconnected all of them and it fired up. ran about 10 seconds and shut off. now i no throttle response. it is a stock ecm.

that was the problem. a 6.0 computer is setup for a 80e and or the nv4500 depending on the setup. also depending on year of the pcm you chose the program might not have the right tables. i think in 03 they changed the colors to the plugs from previous years. not mention the CAGs is probably why the truck didnt start. wrong operating system being enabled

just get your stock pcm tuned for new combo

i was thinking that, the setup was just wrong. im going to get a custom tune.

got any ideas to the no throttle response?

your TB hooked up? or could be in hte tune seeing that its getting more air flow compared to the stock tables of hte 4.8.

i dont like GBW for reasons like that and others

When you get tuning from someone that understand the voodoo inside a DBW system there is no issues getting one to run or "rev". I like mine a lot after my tune made it responsive. The DBW systems will go into reduced engine power when certain DTC's set.
