I don't have the money for and FLT nor will I for a long long time due to going back to school. I don't pound on the truck hardly ever, but of course I need to see what it'll do with the new cam, Lt's, etc. I have the vette 2-4 servo in it and I know it won't save it, so what other "little" things can I do to help prolong it's life? I was thinking transgo hd-2 and a deeper pan (+2 quarts over stock). The truck is at 146k, but the trans guy said this one looks pretty new, since there is no wear on the parts they could see during the fluid change. Thanks.

Then Go Ahead and get a trans Cooler and a decent sized stall. 2800-3000
You could do a clutch and band upgrade from Zippy as well.
Try Oregon Performance Transmission as well and check out the parts they have. A Deeper pan is also a nice upgrade.
