    I'm thinking that when i get a new shaft (again) it will proably lower my et, once the vibe is gone and i choose an aluminum one.

    so in cold air i think i would drop .1 in the 1/4 and with the shaft i want to drop .1, i
    i could live with a 13.4, i know my truck has it in there,

    yeah that vibration is a parasitic loss...as is the weight of heavier things that spin. lighter material, less hp it takes to spin that mofo, more hp for you to enjoy!

    I had an aluminum made for my truck by
    Dennys driveshaft home page;
    driveshaft

    It is half the weight of my stock one and it is garuanteed against anything I throw at it.
    There located in Ny but are also mail order and I highly recommend them.
    I think it helped lower Ets when combined with the rest of the built Tranny.

    I'm interested. I emailed them for some 2- piece info and pricing. About 2 months ago, my rear end started to develop a little vibration off the line from 1500 - 2000 rpm.

    just some points of interest for ya allen.

    - Each shaft is HIGH SPEED BALANCED then TESTED on special equipment to be sure it will run the rpm that you require. If it does not pass this test it doesn't get shipped out. No guess work here...we know what it will do for you because of this final test.

    - All NITROUS READY shafts come with our FREE LIFETIME LABOR for most any maintenance or alterations needs

    - IF YOU EVER TWIST THIS TUBING OR BREAK OUR WELDS...WE WILL REPLACE THE ENTIRE DRIVESHAFT FOR FREE

    - $335.95 for Most applications up to 54 inch CL...includes transmission slip yoke and solid body u-joints
