torque specs

today i finally removed the intake to replace the knock sensor for the second time. this time im changing the ks and wire harness and im torqueing to specs. my question is that the knock sensor calls for 15 ft/lbs but i only have an in/lbs torque wrench, so i figured that i could convert in/lbs to ft/lbs. when i did the math i got 15 ft/lbs = 180 in/lbs can anyone tell me if im right or wrong.

can annyone help please. the way i figured it out was theres 12 inches in a foot so 1 ft/lb = 12 in/lb. so to get 15 ft/lbs i multiply 12x15=180 but im not sure its correct way to convert.

your right, Easy way to check conversions like this is to type it in a google search bar. Usually gives you a few pages with conversion calculators. Its nice for quick compression checks as well.

That's right. Multiply ft/lbs by 12 to get in/lbs. Divide in/lbs by 12 to get ft/lbs.
