I said it's best to remove the bracket but some bend it. Usually when I write "but some people like to...." I'm saying an alternate method I don't like.

You're right, on some 4WD's the bolts are tough to get to and sometimes the torx head strips. The only way to do it bend the bracket....but it kinda sucks that way.
