Are you wanting to put the tank under the bed or in the cab? I used a Suburban tank under the bed on my '81 and installed a Walbro pump in it. If you get one from a FI truck it is an easy upgrade. You might be able to make the in-cab tank work as well but I haven't tried one.

I want to get rid of the tank in the cab, and put one under the bed.

I was just thinking using the tank from whatever the engine trans comes from would make it easier/cheaper than buying a custom tank with baffles and built in pump.

There is a kit for my truck that uses a 1970's Blazer tank that mounts under the bed, behind the rear end, I guess I could use that and a inline pump.

I was reading you really need a tank with baffles, and the in tank pumps are more reliable than in line pumps.

Does anyone have a picture of a fuel tank from a Silverado/Sierra, or even Express van?

I'm curious if one of those would fit somewhere under the bed of my shortbed truck.

You have to cut about an inch from both sides of the frame underneath.
And,cut a hole in the frame for the fill hose.

I also made some hangers and used the camaro tank straps to mount it with.
