it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
would that really be better?how do you adjust boost on a turbo?about how much would that cost me?honestly im notthathappy or suprised from my 112 radix.i dont know maybe its cause i have a mail tune.im gonna do the ls6 cam,4.10 trutrac, and live tune after.if it aint enough im ditching this 4.8 or 112 one of the two!***n denali feels faster than my blown 08![]()

i adjust boost inside the truck viva a EBC. i like it alot better. you can go from say 300hp to 800hp in a second. never get dirty worring about pullies or etc. never have to worry bout why boost dropped off cause you did heads or cam or intake. once the tune is set there isnt changing it for lower settings. you would make more power and mph higher just wont have that lowend as a rootsblower like yours but the topend rush is compariable to a sport bike. i run 15 to 18 and seen no issues with motor. i check all vitals after each time i take it out and nothing out of ordinary yet.

I dont think Quick answered your basic question
You control boost on an s/c by changing pullies to make it spin faster.
You control boost on a turbo by allowing more exhaust to get the turbo to spin it faster.
The wastegate lets you bypass exhaust around the turbo and thus control
boost.
The wastegate is plumb'd into the vac tubing to know when to open by
seeing boost. By putting a simple control valve on that vac line you can
instantly control how much boost the wastegate will let the turbo make.
Say you put a 7psi spring in the wastegate. With control valve full open
the WG spring will open and bypass exhasut when it sees 7psi. Close
the valve a little and WG wont open till 10psi.
Much easier to twist a little knob on a boost controller or push a button
on an electronic boost controller than swapping pullies.
Turbo is much more efficient for same boost levels than an S/C.
Your top end would really come alive with a turbo over the Ratix.
I bet you could sell your Radix used and only have to spend about another $2k
to upgrade to a turbo.
2002 Tahoe 4.8 - soon to be turbo'd - SOLD
1989 Mustang - LX Vert - 351W-TT - 2inches of dust covering it
2012 Raptor - 497rwhp at 10psi
If you aint breaking - you aint going fast enough
Superchargers, especially roots type, make a lot of low end torque though.
didnt parish make 1000hp or something on a stock 6.0L? I've heard the 6.0's going around 900hp 100% stock bottom end
Mine is at 18 psi now and never have taken the heads off the truck just timing cover and valve covers to install cam, springs and push rods, other than that the motor has not been touched. my truck put down 656RWHP and 696RWTQ on 14 psi and on a mustang dyno. dont worry about the motor , it can handle it but the tranny and the diff is a diff. story....
